Last Wednesday Nyla was admitted to the hospital with a urinary tract infection which caused her to have high fevers..... and she was barely even 3 weeks old =(
The doctor did blood tests, a spinal tap, a urine test and a stool test. It was so heart wrenching to hear her crying through all this and I kept wishing that I could the take pain and discomfort in her place.
Thank goodness she's well now and she was discharged from the hospital after 4 days.
My little girl was so brave throughout it all and even managed to gain half a kilogram despite having fevers and being put on the drip.
After we left the hospital, we still had to return twice a day for the intravenous antibiotic drip which takes over an hour each time to administer. This went on for three days before the doctor agreed to remove the drip plug and give her oral antibiotics for the next 10 days.
Its been a real challenge for me as the daddy man left for Thailand last Sunday morning when Nyla was just 3 weeks old and I've had to handle her by myself every day and night while taking care of Nyx and Nya too. But all this is worth it whenever I look at the children......

Nyla is 2 weeks old!
Can't believe its already been 2 weeks since our littlest princess arrived! So far all our checkups with the pediatrician and gyneacologist have gone well and Nyla and I have been staying home ALOT during this confinement period.
She still sleeps a lot during the day and parties on all night, which isn't too great for me cos during the day time I still have to take care of Nyx and Nya who have been staying home the past week due to fevers and a bad cough. Even their dad is down with the cough too!
Hopefully this dreaded virus clears soon as its been quite a challenge keeping Nyx and Nya away from Nyla for fear of spreading the virus to her. Here are some of the pictures we took over the past 2 weeks :)

Just two more weeks to go!
And the countdown begins........ In just two weeks time, Nyla will be saying HI! to everyone. Her EDD had to be brought forward as my amniotic fluid level is a little low and my doctor is concerned. I was admitted into the hospital again yesterday morning for observation and after a couple of hours being strapped to the CDG monitor, we were given the all clear and discharged. This means that we will be able to celebrate the Chinese New Year with our family and friends here! =)
The girls are always so happy to go to school.....
Breakfast at the hawker center nearby.
Celebrating Chinese New Year at school.
Under observation at the hospital again.
Tossing the Chinese salad for good luck during the Chinese New Year.

Finally we get to meet again after almost 3 months!
Meeting up with Alfi 2 weeks before I'm due to deliver baby Nyla.

Nyla's photoshoot at 36 weeks in-utero
Although Nyla will be the third baby we're having, she's the first amongst our children to have her very own photoshoot even before she's born. Here are some of the pictures taken while she's 36 weeks in utero.

Touchdown in Singapore on the 3rd of November 2011
I've been lazy! Since returning to Singapore from Mountainhome 2 months ago, I've not updated my blog, but I shall make it a point from now on to update regularly.
So far since coming back to the sunny island, not a day goes by when I don't miss my friends back in Idaho. We're currently staying at my parent's house in the East till we move to our new home in April/May. Here are a few pictures taken over the course of the past 2 months since we got back.

Shortly after returning to Singapore, the girls got over their jetlag.
Two days after we touched down, we went to view the new house which we just bought.
This is the new car Boomer got for me to shuttle the girls to school and back.
Visiting some places in Singapore which bring back fond memories of my childhood.
A picture of Nyla in utero at 7 and a half months.
Meeting up with friends......
Spending time with the grandparents......
Getting a haircut!
Just barely two weeks after we got back, I was hospitalized for several days.
And after being bedridden for 2 weeks, I got to go out for short periods and even attended a wedding.
The girls having fun with our new helper.
Just 3 more weeks to go and Nyla will say Hi to everyone! =)
